Meet Marissa

Marissa Waldrop is a wife and Mother to 4 sons. She has always had a passion for creative expression and to inspire others to do their best. Marissa has a Bachelors of Science degree in Communication from Brigham Young Univ. Idaho, over 25 years of experience sewing and creating with fabric and other mediums, and over 5 years of experience as a leader in mentoring and coaching others to embrace creative expression and communication within themselves.
Marissa is the creator of Marissa’s Thread, a place for mentoring, positive creativity and becoming. She is a board member of 100 humanitarians international, a non-profit organization that asks the question What is the power of 100 people working on any given project in the world to create positive change? She has been featured on KUTV news for an underwear pattern she created that is changing the lives of women and girls all over the world.
Marissa loves using creativity as a way to invite communication with in yourself, between people and as a society to inspire people, especially women and youth to be the best version of themselves.
While Marissa’s Thread was originally started to be a sewing and crafting business, Marissa has discovered that she has a passion for helping others tune into their creativity and realize their full potential to accomplish and follow their dreams. Through visual creativity, energy movement, communication and other tools and techniques you get to ask the question “What else is possible?”
Thinking outside (or inside) the ‘box’ is putting a self imposed limitation on what you think you are capable of. There is no box, only you and your creative power, what else is possible?
