You’ve found your way here because:

You like your clothes to fit your unique shape and you want look good wearing them.

You want custom, comfortable clothing that is made for you or you want to learn the techniques to make them yourself.

You want to know how to bring who you are on the inside out, though color and how you dress to present your beautiful energy to the world.

Hi, I’m Marissa Waldrop.

I’m not your typical fit in the box kind of person. I’d rather take that box and create something amazing and new with it. I ask what else is possible and I expect to find an answer.

I have a Bachelors of Science in Communication, 5 years of experience in energy movement therapy, and over 25 years of experience in sewing design, manipulation and pattern work. If you ask if I can sew it, the answer is YES! I can tell you about the boring stuff, you know, all the accomplishments and experience I have, but I’d rather show you what you can create for yourself. That’s where the fun is.

I have many interests and they don’t all fall in a nice strait line. I like to mash them together and see what happens. It’s like magic. That’s how I started Marissa’s Thread. It’s my place to open up to the world, let you see my magic and create some for yourselves..

In September of 2018 I was asked to design an underwear pattern for girls and women. Saying yes to that changed the course of my life. Now I get to teach sewing skills and mentor women and girls all over the world. Along with sewing instruction, I also lead Kenya garden projects through 100 Humanitarians.

Mom to 4 boys, wife, lover of dancing, Creative at heart, international speaker, board member of 100 Humanitarians International, eclectic business owner. Lets see what we can create.
